Welcome to New Richmond Youth Football

The New Richmond Youth Football Program consists of Flag Football played in 1st and 2nd grade; TackleBar Football played in 3rd and 4th grade, and Tackle Football played in 5th and 6th grade. Players will have the opportunity to learn basic fundamentals that are tiered at the appropriate developmental level to ensure the proper growth. Our Flag Football program meets two times a week for practices, and then games begin after week 3. Our Flag Football will have Coaches Quarterbacking to ensure maximum playtime and the ability to teach and learn more about the game at younger ages. Our 3rd and 4th Grade TackleBar league offers two nights a week for practice with games played on Saturday mornings. Our 5th and 6th Grade Tackle league offers three nights a week for practice until school begins with games played on Saturday mornings.

All of our practices and games take place at Freedom Park in New Richmond. This facility allows all age levels the opportunity to practice at the same time and also play games at the same time. This helps build a community of players and allows families the smooth transition of having to do drop-off and pick-up at only one location!

Season Happenings

2023 Youth Football Dates and Costs

Football Leagues

Football Camp -$25 plus processing fee. --Mon and Tues July 24th and 25th from 5:30pm to 7pm each day. The camp is ran by the HIGH SCHOOL VARSITY Coaches and Players and is an excellent way to educate and help kids from 1st Grade all the way through 7th and 8th.

Flag Football Grades 1&2-$60 plus processing fee. --Tuesday and Thursday 6:00-7:00pm (First night is Tuesday August 22nd). Anticipated end date will be September 28th. The following Tuesday is a flex night to make up a rained-out game if need be.

Games will be these nights as well

Tackle Bar Grades 3&4-$150 plus processing fee. --Tuesday and Thursday 6:00-7:30pm (First night is Tuesday August 22nd). First game will be played on Saturday September 9th. Will play 11 vs 11 or 9 vs 9 depending on registration numbers. Teams will be equal, and no one will have a bye week. Last game will be October 7th. Punt, pass and Kick/ equipment hand-in will be October 10th.

Games on Saturdays either 9:00-10:30 OR 10:30-12:00

Youth Football Rules and Playbook

Below you will find the rules for the Tackle Football leagues and the Flag Football league; as well as playbooks for both tackle and flag. The playbooks were developed and modified in partnership with the Varsity coaching staff and the Youth Football Board. As with any activity involving children, we want to always provide a developmentally sound program. Though the playbook is broad, not all things are introduced at every level. This is the beginning level and is meant to build off of one another.
